The Senseca RTD series represents the new generation of tilting cup meters, designed to meet the strict requirements of the WMO (World Meteorological Organization). Made entirely of corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum alloy, this is a meter that is built to deliver accurate data year after year in harsh outdoor environments.

What sets the RTD series apart from the crowd are the built-in diagnostic sensors . The meter internally monitors its own temperature, humidity and inclination. This means you can receive an alarm if the meter has been moved from its position or if internal conditions risk affecting the measurement quality – a security that traditional rain gauges lack.

For Nordic conditions we recommend the heated versions (R models). The thermostatically controlled heat melts snow and ice directly at the funnel, making it possible to measure precipitation even during the coldest months of winter.

Installation & Commissioning

Quick leveling: The RTD series has a built-in spirit level under the funnel. No need to balance with your own tools – just turn the three adjustment screws until the bubble is centered.

Plug-and-Play: Comes with a standardized M12 connector for the output signal, minimizing the risk of incorrect connection.

Secure mounting: Mounts directly on a mast (Ø 40–60 mm) with the included Allen screws.

Self-diagnostics: Upon startup, the device automatically checks its tilt. If the stand tilts too much, you will receive an alarm via the Modbus register – a unique feature that guarantees data quality.
