For large properties or complex roof structures, a single measurement point is rarely enough. Snow is rarely distributed evenly; wind and the design of the roof often create dangerous snow pockets on the sides or against higher building structures. With Envitron System Extensions , you can easily scale up your monitoring system.

These expansion sensors are identical in precision to the main unit but are optimized to communicate with your existing SnowControl hub or gateway. By placing multiple sensors, you get a heatmap of the roof load. This allows you to make even smarter snow removal decisions – you may only need to shovel a certain part of the roof instead of the whole one, saving you huge money in the long run. All sensors are automatically integrated into your existing Stormex portal for a single overview.

Installation & Commissioning

Seamless integration: When a new sensor is placed on the roof, it is easily registered in your existing portal with its unique ID number.

Areas of use

Identification of Snow Pockets: Place extra sensors at eaves, gutter valleys or behind ventilation hoods where snow tends to accumulate.

Large Industrial Halls: For halls over 1000 m², at least 3–5 sensors are recommended to obtain a statistically reliable average value of the load.

Different Weather Lines: Monitor how solar radiation on the south side versus shadow on the north side affects the weight of the snow and the melting process (ice formation).
