The Envitron Solar-based Snow Measuring System is an industrial IoT solution that automates this process for you.

The system consists of high-precision sensors that measure both the actual snow depth (via ultrasound) and the snow density. By combining this data, you get an accurate calculation of the actual pressure (kg/m²) on the roof structure. Since the system is powered by solar energy and communicates via wireless networks, no expensive wiring is required, making installation both fast and cost-effective even on existing buildings.

For a property owner, this system provides enormous peace of mind. Instead of guessing when the roof needs to be shoveled, you receive automatic alerts via SMS or email when critical thresholds are approaching.
