The HBM CST is a high-precision strain gauge designed to measure loads on very large structures where traditional load cells are impossible to install. Instead of lifting an entire bridge or machine to insert a scale, you mount the CST sensor directly on the surface. It senses microscopic changes in the material and converts these into precise measurements of weight or force.

This sensor is extremely popular in Weigh-in-Motion applications and for monitoring the lifespan of infrastructure. For Stormex's industrial and transportation customers, CST provides a cost-effective path to automated data. It is built to withstand decades of outdoor use in harsh environments and is immune to electromagnetic interference.
