The Cisco IXM-LPWA-800-16-K9 is an industrial LoRaWAN gateway designed to provide secure and reliable connectivity for mission-critical IoT applications. This rugged device bridges your wireless sensors (such as snow load meters or weather stations) to your cloud platform. With support for 16 channels, the gateway can handle thousands of messages per day from sensors spread across large industrial sites or municipal real estate assets.

Unlike consumer solutions, Cisco's IXM series is built to withstand the toughest challenges. With an IP67 rating and a temperature range adapted to Nordic winters, it ensures stable operation regardless of the weather. The gateway integrates seamlessly with Cisco industrial routers (such as the IR800 series) or can be run as a standalone unit, giving you maximum flexibility in your network architecture. For security-conscious organizations, Cisco offers the highest level of encryption, ensuring that sensitive measurement data remains protected from source to final destination.

Installation & Commissioning

The IXM-800 is a professional networking product. It is easily powered via PoE, which means that only one network cable needs to be run to the mounting location. Stormex Solutions offers assistance with configuration of network servers (LNS) and can deliver the gateway pre-configured to automatically recognize your Stormex sensors upon startup.
