Lufft MARWIS-UMB is the market's leading mobile sensor for professional road maintenance. By mounting MARWIS on a vehicle, you receive continuous data on the condition of the road surface while you are driving. The sensor measures critical parameters such as water thickness, ice percentage, salt content and friction via infrared technology - completely without contact with the road surface.

For municipalities and contractors, MARWIS represents a paradigm shift. Instead of relying on stationary stations, you get a comprehensive picture of the entire road network. Data is transferred seamlessly via Bluetooth or RS485 to a tablet in the driver's cab or directly to the cloud. This makes it possible to make salting and plowing decisions based on actual meter-by-meter measurements, drastically reducing chemical use and increasing road safety. MARWIS is built for extreme environments and delivers reliable data even in sleet and severe cold.
