Resensys Wireless Strain Gauge SenSpot – Wireless Strain Gauge for Infrastructure

Resensys Wireless Strain Gauge SenSpot – Wireless Strain Gauge for Infrastructure

The market's most power-efficient sensor for precision measurement of strain, deformation and stress in steel and concrete structures. With over 10 years of battery life and wireless technology, it enables long-term monitoring of bridges and buildings without costly cabling.

Resensys SenSpot™ represents the next generation of wireless structural health monitoring (SHM). This "Enhanced" strain gauge is specifically designed to measure microscopic changes in structures under extreme loads and varying temperature conditions. Using Resensys' patented ultra-low power consumption technology, the sensor can continuously collect and transmit data for over a decade without battery replacement.

The sensor is easily mounted on the surface of the object to be monitored – whether it is a bridge beam, a railway rail or a load-bearing industrial structure. It measures strain with extremely high resolution and automatically compensates for thermal variations. All data is sent wirelessly to a SeniMax™ gateway, which eliminates the biggest costs of traditional measurement: running protected cable and installing power supplies in hard-to-reach environments. With Resensys, you get a scalable solution that provides real-time insight into the status of the structure and warns of potential structural deficiencies before they become critical.

Areas of use

Bridge Monitoring (SHM): Continuous measurement of stresses in bridge beams and struts to detect fatigue or overloading in time. Ideal for aging infrastructure where manual inspection is insufficient.

Railway & Tramway: Monitoring of track position and rail tensions to prevent sun curves or cracking.

Heavy Industry & Mining: Measuring structural integrity in cranes, conveyors and silo structures subjected to cyclic loading.

Historic Buildings: Non-destructive measurement of movements and cracking in sensitive architectural objects without having to make interventions for cabling.
